The University of Turku values local partnership and a long shared history

Currently, Tietokeskus is Turku University’s contract partner for the delivery of Dell PCs and peripherals. “In addition, Tietokeskus provides all our AV technology — for example, projectors, screens, sound systems, speakers, and information displays,” adds Markus Saarela, sales representative at Tietokeskus.

The University of Turku prefers having an intermediary partner between the contracted brand supplier and itself, as this brings efficiency to operations. Logistics services, buffer storage, a functional online store, and clear invoicing are all handled smoothly with Tietokeskus.

“Operational fluency and reliability are Tietokeskus’ strengths. Our representatives can also contact Tietokeskus’ sales team with equipment-related questions – and they always respond with clear explanations,” Kairinen says appreciatively.

Extra credit for being local

Over the years, Tietokeskus has grown into a nationwide operator that takes pride in its local offices. The University of Turku is also happy to work with a local partner. “Our strength is flexibility and proximity. We can be on-site quickly whenever needed,” Saarela says.

“The University of Turku also has campuses in Rauma and Pori. That’s why it’s great that Tietokeskus has a presence in those cities as well. We can use the same operating model across all locations without unnecessary adjustments,” Kairinen says with satisfaction, adding: “Over the years, we’ve had various suppliers, and Tietokeskus is certainly among the best. I sincerely hope our cooperation will continue in the future.”
